Worked great no problems very happy and save a few dollars overall very happy. A powerful Arc Welder that gets the job done even at 120v. Use 7014 rod for the best results and keep the current down. These weld really nice and the slag comes off pretty easy! At the end of the day the Amico ARC1652018 is solid and cheap.

I use a short cord into it, and don't over push it, and it does well. This thing can't weigh more than 10 lbs and its super portable. You can try, and I've been successful, but it is very difficult. At the end of the day the Amico ASF2002019 is solid and cheap. Working in our shop perfectly, completely satisfied.

Does make a nice puddle and slags reasonably well. I felt at home with the controls, they are almost identical to the 255EXT. Bottom line if you are in the market for a arc welder, buy it! Bought this to teach myself welding. Really like it, it's my first welder but its awesome.
