I also cut some 1/4in birch plywood and it worked great. I expected a Powermatic made tool for the premium price I paid. Ok, now for a slightly more in depth review. The major problem I had was assembling the saw on the stand. Easy assembly and little to no adjustments necessary.

The truth is that the Powermatic PM1000 was the Powermatic Table Saws that we rated at the top. However, there were several other very premium quality Powermatic Table Saws we wanted to showcase here that only just missed first place.

The next in our tool break down is made by Powermatic known to be a very respectable tool manufacturer. Powermatic's Table Saws are no exception. It was terrific to try out the PM1000. I was very pleased with this tool!
