Turn it upside down and put it in between two 2 by 4's. But at the end of the day I'd take a good look at the BLACK+DECKER. Makes me wonder why all belt sanders aren't made similarly. I have sanded approx 600 sq feet of hardwood floors with this. I recently used it to sand rough cut 2x4 and 2x6 pine.

The fact is that the BLACK+DECKER BDEMS600 was the Hand Held Sanders that we graded most highly. That doesn't mean there aren't a number of other really great alternatives when it comes down to Hand Held Sanders. We have them for you here.

BLACK+DECKER is an additional top manufacturer of Sanders. They produce the tool next on our lineup. BLACK+DECKER's Belt Sanders are great as well. I was ready to try the model DS321 and I was not let down!

This Belt Sander is just $48.48. That is an exceptional deal for a high quality Sander like the DS321 by BLACK+DECKER. The BLACK+DECKER DS321 is really a sound alternative. Of you are not sure about our top selection, I would pick this Sander.

In addition to the option we researched above, I would take a look at the PSFS1A by TACKLIFE and the Genesis GPS080. Both TACKLIFE and Genesis are famous for their premium quality Sanders. Both of these two options are rated highly as well. The TACKLIFE received a user rating of 4.3/5 as compared to 4.3/5 star rating given to the Genesis GPS080.

The PSFS1A by TACKLIFE offers a few really choice features like ❤❤❤ Comes with 13pcs sanding belts, 7 x 80 grits, 6 x 120 grits.❤❤❤. The GPS080 by Genesis by comparison, is very competitive featuring POWERFUL - 14,000 orbits per minute for fast, efficient sanding | Use the Genesis Mouse Palm sander for small projects like chair legs, table stands, and other projects with smaller spaces! and even CONVENIENT - Hook and Loop Accessory Fastening System | Change sandpaper quickly and easily with out the need for pressing clips!.

I can easily suggest both of these Hand Held Sanders

You can also use a vacuum hose to empty it very effectively. With the TACKLIFE, I don't hesitate to even sand thin veneers. The dustport works better connected to a vacuum system. I burnt up and old TACKLIFE, and needed to replace it quick. Sanding upside down and vertically was easy and effective.

Works awesome, a little bit dusty inside. This sander is a life saver if you need to get into tight spots. This sander works for us, little heavy but great price. It's good quality, easy to use, and good price too. The hose does not perfectly fit, but that doesn't matter.

Honorable Mentions

If the Hand Held Sanders above don't do it for you, we have a few alternative choices that might be a better match. There really are a lot of terrific options on the market to pick from. The Sanders we graded above are the best we could find. That doesn't mean there aren't several additional great Hand Held Sanders.

I give it four stars because I have only had it for four days. The variable speed is amazing for the serious wood worker. We restore 4-6 pieces of furniture a year here at the house. Also take a short break every 15 minutes to let belt cool off. And that was with the 80 grit sanding belt that comes with it.

I just bought a house and it needed to be redo my back patio. For the price, all things considered, this is a good value. I am a finish carpenter and use my sanders constantly. If I had to choose one I'd take the Makita over this model. Great value vs similar, more expensive belt sanders.

This sander cranked on like smooth and worked wonderful. It's sturdily built, easy to handle and light weight. I did receive some damage to the product during shipping. You can attach to the vacuum if you have a big job to do. I Recently bought a property and needed a great sander.

I realize it's called a palm sander but it feels awkward. This sander is a life saver if you need to get into tight spots. The best thing was it was super affordable. As a note, this was the first time I'd used this kind of sander. I had purchased a mouse sander locally and was very upset with it.

Sometimes I have to lightly tap it, and it will start right up. We have an arbor that needed to be sanded, primed and painted. Works great on old furniture I am trying to restore! I'll press the on button and nothing will happen. This BLACK+DECKER sander is very aggressive and extremely powerful.

Must buy proper sanding discs otherwise the vac holes do not match up. This sander is a life saver if you need to get into tight spots. The flush/finish base is very good as well. The size of the sandpaper is suitable for use. Bought it to help with some pieces of furniture I was refurbishing.
