No damage, packaging can improve. Did not power on when it arrived. Sand here, sand there, sand everywhere. Mine gets rough use and doesn't break down. The oscillation did not work on the first unit.

The WEN 6502T was our preferred Benchtop Sanders. With that said, there are several other fantastic alternatives when it comes to Benchtop Sanders. We have them for you here.

WEN is yet another leading producer of Sanders. They build the tool next on our list. WEN's Spindle Sanders are among their leading offerings. I was ready to try out the model 6510T and I was not let down!

This Spindle Sander is merely $129.73. That is a great deal for a top quality Sander like the 6510T by WEN. If you uncertain about our number one selection, I'd look into the WEN 6510T next. It's a high quality tool at a terrific price.

3. WEN 6515T Disc & Belt Sander

It's a nice machine and I wish I could have kept it. The rotating plate is basically useless to me. Also the belt can be adjusted to hang off on both sides. I liked the price and sturdiness of this product. I plugged in my shop vac to the port which fit nicely.

Using a vacuum with it is highly recommended. It runs smooth and the fit and finish is very good. For an around the shop grinder for a hobbyist metal worker. The disc has no visible run out on my unit and sands smoothly. Very little vibration and it's not really loud.

A couple issues that I have ran into so far. I found that it was easy to change the paper with out it. It took maybe 15-20 minutes to have the sander up and running. The readout is magnetic and sits just below the hand wheel. Did not even have to fine tune anything.

Tonight the Idler Roller started making noise. One interesting observation is the disc spins clockwise. But the sander is cheap, so I didn't expect much. I had this item shipped directly to my shop from the distributor. The tables are nice and large being made from cast iron.

Don't let go as soon as it grabs a hold. Time will tell if it will stand up to everyday use. That comment is being nice to Jet. I tried to be to precise and it cost me a new belt. I like the longer conveyor on the Jet.
