The rest is heavy cast iron and a very solid piece of equipment. I bought this to take to work as the one there is available to any. Needed to tighten a few screws, bolts, that should have been done at the factory. Quick delivery and works great Excellent disc sander, plenty of power. The table is a little stiff when your trying to adjust it up and down.

The drum must be adjusted after initial set up. I found that it was easy to change the paper with out it. When placing a board in the machine. But light cuts worked fine, no problems. 1/8 turn just to take up the slack before moving the drum.
