When I stop pressing down, the sander turns off. I am sure it would be fine for the average man. I wouldn't buy this again, but it works fine. I also liked the extra sandpaper that was included. The suction fan on this sander does all of the work.

Thought I would give this 1/3rd sheet sander a try. Great ergonomics leads to comfortable usage. I liked that it had the dust catcher attached. I didn't notice any bad characteristics. Fell off saw horse and would not come back on.
