I got the planer and put it to work right away. I use it outside as there is a huge outflow of chips. I used it to clean up salvaged/reclaimed wood. The left/right chip ejector is much better than PORTER-CABLE's. It is sturdy and the blade are double sided and sharp.

It's true that the WEN 6530 was the Hand Held Planers that we ranked most highly. With that said, there are several other superb options when it comes to Hand Held Planers. We have the best of them in this article.

PORTER-CABLE is an additional leading manufacturer of Planers. They build the tool next on our lineup. PORTER-CABLE's Electric Hand Planers are one of their leading tools. I was excited to have a go at the model PC60THP and I was not let down!

The PORTER-CABLE PC60THP Electric Hand Planer, at $67.99 is a particularly exceptional Planer for the price. If you not sure about our top pick, I'd consider the PORTER-CABLE PC60THP next. It's a top quality tool at a terrific price.
