This is one awesome Wood Lathe and well built. The Grizzly Industrial H8259 is sturdy, quiet, and powerful. This is my first Wood Lathe. I turned 2 small bowls in just one afternoon. So far, I'm very satisfied with this Wood Lathe.

The fact is that the RIKON 70-105 Wood Lathe B01426DJ78 was the 1/2 HP Lathes that we rated at the top. Having said that, there were a few other really premium 1/2 HP Lathes we wanted to show you here that barely fell short.
