Tonight the Idler Roller started making noise. After setting tracking, it remained where initially set. I didn't time how long, but the heat might be an issue. The disc has no visible run out on my unit and sands smoothly. sander is doing fine, lot power sands well on metal and wood.

Had bought a Rikon belt sander a couple years ago. I don't use this for wood use, I use it to sand plastic. I think this is a great grinder for the new knife maker. I had this item shipped directly to my shop from the distributor. Not as heavily made as my old one, but is worth the money.

And it is very hard to stop the belt with a large wood block. The rotating plate is basically useless to me. Everything I hated was now different and excellent. I'm very satisfied with the way this Rikon sander runs. Machine speed is 1725 RPM and this works very well.
