It was extremely easy to put together. The chain did indeed have 57 links. Rebuilt them all more times than I can remember. It does not include it, and don't expect it to. The first job was a trash palm tree.

2 cycle oil has improved much since then. Be sure to grease the end of the bar. Would not be good for cutting cord wood. It is nice to have for stumps however. I have their line trimmer and pole saw.
