First Impressions

"It's a hoot."

I'm running on a 15 amp circuit with 50 ft extension cord and have had no problems. Does make a nice puddle and slags reasonably well. It is very light weight and portable. I'm decent at the welding part, the rod feeding part was holding me back. There are some cheaper welders out there that have digital amperage adjustment.

"Just get it."

I really doubt you would be unhappy with it! Received the Rod Guard RG100, RG101-4 today and it is mostly what I expected. I use a short cord into it, and don't over push it, and it does well. The Rod Guard weighs around 75lbs and doesn't lay down any better of a weld. Starting the arc is always the tricky part of stick welding.
