"Mine needed minimal adjustment."

Clean it up during and after usage. This was not my intention when I first got the machine. When placing a board in the machine. The readout is magnetic and sits just below the hand wheel. 1/8 turn just to take up the slack before moving the drum.

Well, it is really quite the marvel. Time will tell if it will stand up to everyday use. Changing the sandpaper strips is easy. Anyway, bottom line is no regrets with this machine. 1/8 turn just to take up the slack before moving the drum.
