"This is an excellent machine."

Well, it is really quite the marvel. The motor adjusts from 0 to 10 fpm. Changing the sandpaper strips is easy. Anyway, bottom line is no regrets with this machine. I like the longer conveyor on the Shop Fox.

"It has a rather heavy backing."

Don't let go as soon as it grabs a hold. A dust collector helps to cool the drum and abrasive. That comment is being nice to Shop Fox. But light cuts worked fine, no problems. Some guys say they line up just fine, mine didn't.
